Our people are our most valuable asset. It is therefore our policy to provide a safe, secure and healthy working environment for all our employees, subcontractors and others engaged in our activities. This incorporates appropriate concern for the protection of the environment we work and live in
The ultimate aims of our SHE Policy are
- Zero personal accidents
- Zero damages to equipment and property
- Zero incidents with environmental impact
The management of Torque recognizes its responsibility and gives the highest priority to the prevention of safety, security, health and environmental incidents.
Our SHE Policy Incorporates the following objectives:
- Assessing safety hazards, security threats, health and environmental aspects and providing adequate controls to keep operational risks and emissions as low as reasonably practicable
- Leading and motivating employees through development of competences, to create an open culture based on teamwork, entrepreneurship and professionalism
- Operating a suitable and efficient equipment maintenance program, as well as monitoring the development and implementation of advanced technologies
- Complying with all applicable safety, occupational health and environmental laws regulations standards, codes of practice and client requirements in all countries in which we operate
- Reporting and analyzing accidents, incidents, damages, environmental issues, near misses and hazards and communicating the lessons learnt
- Developing demanding targets and key performance indicators to measure achievements and continually enhance our Safety, Security, health and environmental standards
- Perform regular management reviews, inspections and audits to verify compliance and identify continual improvement opportunities
- Utilizing an integrated management system based on OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards
The Management of Torque stresses that these objectives can only be met or exceeded with the total commitment of every person and expects every employee, including our subcontractors and others engaged in activities under Torques’ operational control to strictly comply with this policy.
